Weston's Wonderful Grandmothers
We're on our own now.... And very afraid. We got used to having a couple extra hands around the house to keep things from falling into complete chaos. Amy's mom was here to help prepare for Weston's arrival, entertain Noah while we were in the hospital, and help rock Weston to sleep to give Amy a break every once in a while. The day she left, my parents and sister Hailey arrived. They helped entertain Noah (no small task) and watch Weston so we could get some precious shut eye. It was great to have family visit us and help out during Weston's first few days on earth. Weston is lucky to have two very wonderful Grandmas. We were left with a clean house, clean clothes, and several meals in the fridge and freezer. It's nice to be a little prepared for the upcoming turmoil and sleep-deprived panic attacks.

Noah meets Weston
In anticipation of Weston's arrival, Noah made him a book consisting of several original paintings. One of which was a picture of Noah and Weston dressed up as Ghosts for Halloween, "a big ghost, and a yittle ghost....that's Weston". He also drew several picture of the ocean, including one picture of Noah surfing. "Weston is too yittle to surf".
Noah always talks about how much he loves Weston, and gets very concerned when Weston cries... "Does he have an ouie?", "why is he tryyyyring?", "I will give him a hug", "Did he bonk?". Noah is very sweet and gentle.
"Daddy, when I get bigger I will get married and have a baby too, and be a daddy like you".

Weston Reese Gardner
Amy was incredible. She performed the entire labor and delivery without medication. It was the most amazing and scary thing I have ever seen. She was in more pain than I can possibly explain (or understand). There were several times she thought she wouldn't survive. But, she did. And now we have a family of four. I am so proud of her. She is a fantastic mother.
