Christmas Eve PJ's

On Christmas Eve, Noah and Weston were able to open one present....Matching pajamas.

Santa Needs Cookies

Almost every night this week, Noah requested that I tell him Christmas stories about "when you were a yittle boy". Most of these stories involved me and my brothers and sisters leaving cookies and milk for Santa the night before Christmas.

Noah loved these stories and thought it would be fun to leave a snack for Santa by the fireplace on Christmas eve. We spent most of the afternoon baking cookies, putting icing on top, and adding precious sprinkles. Santa gets the cookies and Juice and his raindeer get the carrots.

Santa?

So I was enjoying a nice lunch with Noah at a restaurant. Noah was being a very good boy, sitting quitely and eating his food. Suddenly he points his finger over my shoulder and yells at the top of his lungs for everyone in the entire building to hear: "Daddy look it's SANTA CLAUSE!!!".

I turned around fully expecting to see the actual, no-kidding, real Santa Clause.... But instead, I saw an obese Lady with long white hair and a grimace on her face. (Apparently she didn't really appreciate being compared to a fat man with a beard and a red nose).

I had to hide my face from the public as I buckled over to laugh. I tried to quiet him..."Shhhh Noah, that's not Santa Clause". But, the laughter and tears in my eyes encouraged him more than my words could prevent him from yelling "Santa Clause" over and over again. Quickly, and unfortunely for her, the lady became the focus of attention in the restaurant as everyone turned to stare at the real Santa.

"Hi there Brothers"

Noah's a great big brother. He climbs by Weston and says to me, "Mommy, say Hi there brothers!" Poor Weston gets squished in the chair but there's a lot of love to go around.

"Now I am this many..."

Our Noah is now 3 years old. He had a fantastic birthday celebrated over a week span with both sets of grandparents, three great-grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. He was very specific about his two birthday cakes, "It must be a green tree with candles, no frosting and lots of sprinkles". Where he got that we have no idea. Who knew our son was going green...

He was kind enough to share his birthday cake with his new puppets. It helped that the puppets came to life with an incredible puppeteer (thank you Grandma Davis).

You made it to 3 Noah! We love you, our wild child. What will the next year bring? We can't wait.
