First Camping Trip

Last week we packed up the kids, tent, and sleeping bags and headed deep into the wilderness. (Actually just car-camping south of Big Sur). Noah had been anticipating this trip for several weeks, and was fully expecting to see discovery-channel wildlife action...Mainly because of the camping stories I've been reliving with him every night (with a few embelishments to make it exciting for a 3-year old). Although we didn't see many animals other than elephant seals, we did experience the joy of pouring gas on wood and lighting it on fire and nearly burning our eyebrows off.

Noah's favorite part was roasting marshmellows. He actually preferred his "squishy"...meaning he didn't have any patience to watch them roast, and just reached his paws into the marshmellow bag to eat them raw.

Way stayed up a bit past sunset watching the fire and chewing on our camp treats, until finally Noah got so tired he asked to go to sleep. We crawled into our sleeping bags and listened to the waves crash. Weston slept through the entire night without a peep. It was the first time he has slept through the night! Perhaps he was so cold he couldn't make a squeak to ask for food, but we prefer to think that he just fell in love with the outdoors.

Of Late...

Been a little behind in blogging so here's an update of what we have been up to:

It all started with a little a little paint and quickly he was covered head to toe

Had fun with Pajama Day at Parent Participation

Noah and I enjoy a science class once a week and here are his "science glasses"

Allen built a plane with Noah to fly at the beach. It was a good little plane (for an Aerospace Engineer) :)

Noah commanded the sea with a line of seaweed

Sweet Weston is always up for whatever adventure is next. I think he looks more and more like his Daddy every day.
