Spontaneous trip to San Diego

Allen had some meetings down in San Diego for a week and we decided to make a trip out of it. I have been very weary of taking kiddos to any amusement parks until I thought they were old enough but then so many friends told us how great Legoland is for Noah's age so we braved it. It was a blast! Allen and I turned into little kids with the three of us running around everywhere trying to hit all the rides. Fortunately our wonderful friend and babysitter, Tayler, watched Weston for us at the hotel so we could really cruise.

Amazing how creative people can get with Legos.

You jump on these dots and the musical instrument plays as water shoots out. Noah loved the french horn.

Allen and Noah built a car made out of legos

The car was then raced down the plank only to be accidentally stepped on by another boy. We moved on quickly...

Noah was more fascinated with the pulley system rather than the ride itself.

When Mom took the controls the helicopter ride became more interesting.

Sea World was great. And yes, we were that close in the "soak" zone. There is a reason why it's called that. Shamu had it out for our section.

The pool at the hotel was a huge hit as well. Noah took off running as soon as he saw the water and did a full 360 degree flip head first into the deep end before Allen was even in the water. "Just like Shamu!" he said. Thank goodness for swimming lessons...

And here we are on a hike by the elephant seals. Yes, that is me carrying both boys but what you don't see is that I have the diaper bag on my back. Allen came to my rescue only after taking a picture first. Oh what a mom's body goes through!

Weston is the happiest, sweetest baby! If we are outside, he is even happier. What a joy...

Got this cool shirt from my good friend Deborah. It's her little sister's adorable children's clothing line. Check it out here: http://www.rachellidesign.com
